"Pain grows and the world shrinks. Loneliness isolates in a different way: rather than destroying the world, it establishes a barrier between the self and the world, leaving the world intact as a torment to the isolated person. Loneliness grows and the world recedes, eventually disappearing over the horizon. Will the world ever appear again? Was it ever there in the first place?"

  1. This is beautiful.

I often feel that way. I build walls to convince myself that I prefer solitude, when the truth is that I fear rejection and it is easier to think that I am alone (lonely) by choice.

    Take care.

  3. Thank you for calling me out on my obesity rant. You made a bunch of important points that I completely ignored while I was writing it. I wasn't in a very understanding mood when I wrote it lol
